Luke has always had a great passion for nutrition, fitness and generally being optimally healthy.
From age 11 he began to practise Karate, along side many other sports. This became a more serious practice through his teenage years, and he ended up choosing a degree in Japanese studies in order to progress his knowledge. At age 20, he spent a year in Japan working, studying and practising karate. He then returned to England and on completion of his degree, went into primary school teaching (sports specialist). He began to explore other practices such as yoga, gymnastics, Pilates, parkour, capoeira, running, aikido, meditation, CrossFit and primal fitness practices, but never stopped teaching and practising karate.
In 2011, after 7 years of primary school teaching and physical exploration on the side, he decided to seriously pursue his interest in health and fitness and trained to become a level 3 Advanced Personal Trainer at Premier Training International. Since completing the course, he has also become qualified in advanced nutrition for weight management.
This was more than just a career transition. It enabled Luke to really explore different fitness systems, nutritional ideas, well-being philosophies and the mental aspects of movement practices.
He now enjoys running small group fitness training sessions at his own gym in Bridge, and providing 1-1 personal training programmes, corporate services, outdoor running sessions and intensive boot camps.
