At 19 stone (120kg) I was lazy and lethargic and my self-confidence was through the floor because of my weight. Despite efforts to lose weight, I’d often lose a stone or two through a fad diet but of course would regain within a short amount of time.

It wasn’t until I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) that it finally clicked that something really did need to change in order for me to live a long life. After initially dropping some weight through diet changes, I began to train with a personal trainer who turned my life around through introducing me to Powerlifting.

I fell in love with weight training and strength conditioning. Soon my body composition was changing, and I was losing body fat and gaining muscle mass while loving every step of the journey.

It’s now my goal to inspire others to make a change – find what makes them tick and maximise it! This could be you!
