Having spent ten years in the army as a member of the Queen Alexandra Royal Army Nursing Corps (QARANC), exercise has long been a huge part of my work as well as my life. I discovered what I was good at and also many things I am not so good at! I used that to my advantage and focused on my strengths. The army made me who I am in so many ways and encouraged me to further myself at every opportunity.
Leaving the army after ten years of service, I felt lost and I missed the sense of purpose that had been drilled into me. After speaking at length to a fabulous life coach, I realised I wanted to help other people gain that same sense of achievement that I felt. This led me to Ultra Courage.
My Sister, Marie, has always been my biggest influence and source of inspiration in life. She has always been there for advice, support and often just some rational thinking. Everyone needs that someone to inspire them to approach life with more confidence and energy. Now I feel that it is my turn to help inspire others. More than that, to realise (like I have) that you can inspire yourself. I love helping people to realise that they can do so much more than they thought possible, that they can not only improve their fitness but in doing this can improve their overall health, wellbeing and above all else, their happiness.
I started Ultra Courage not because life is about having the perfect body or being able to lift your own body weight. It is about making a positive change for you. To give you the confidence and motivation to be the very best version of yourself.
