About
My name is James Robinson, and BodySculpt is my company. I am a Norfolk based personal trainer and I offer a unique one-to-one personal training service, either at a gym, in your own home or place of work.
I have been in the fitness industry for 15 years. I'm a fully qualified advanced personal trainer, on the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) Level 3.
By working with you on a one-to-one basis, I can tailor a programme that meets your specific needs. I offer personal fitness training and consultation, dietary analysis and nutritional advice, sports-specific training, cardiac rehabilitation, and fitness testing, and I am fully insured. I trained with FutureFit, the UK's leading health and fitness trainer.
I have also studied Fit2Run, an exercise and fitness course designed for runners. I have a vast array of knowledge, particularly in nutrition, and supplementation for sportspeople and professionals. I enjoy numerous sports, such as tennis and running. I am a keen distance runner, and its an area I specialise in. I have completed a host of half-marathons and marathons. Last year I completed the Great North Run in 1 hour 57 minutes running over 9 miles on a broken foot, raising money for my chosen charity, Get Kids Going. This year, I have run the Edinburgh Marathon, as well as the Great North Run and Great South Run, raising money for Traidcraft, a charity dedicated to helping the poorest communities work their way out of poverty. As the UK's leading fair trade organisation, Traidcraft works with more than 100 producer groups in over 30 countries around the world.
I would describe myself as a self-motivated and hard working person, with experience in all aspects of the fitness industry. I'm dedicated to maintaining high quality standards, and that in turn ensures that you will achieve your potential. Highly driven, I will push you and make you into that image of how you want to be. A natural leader who inspires by example, possessing the skills to motivate individuals, I like to think of myself as a social person, who makes friends with clients. I personally think that what most current personal trainers offer is not enough. It’s ok for them to see you once or twice a week for an hour, but ultimately, it’s the other 23 hours during the day that's really going to affect your shape and size. That's why I spend extra time making sure you stay on track, and I do this in a number of different ways. I believe that if we want something in life, then we go out there and we damn well get it. You only get one chance in life, so there's no point wasting it. You don't want to be looking back regretting missed opportunities. You will regret far more the things that you didn't do, than the things you did do.
Motivation, and the lack of it is without doubt why people don't stick to their fitness training. At the end of the day, running or any cardiovascular activity can be boring, and it’s my job as a personal trainer to motivate you by making things more interesting. Once I have achieved this, there's a much greater chance of you sticking to the programme and sticking to healthy eating habits throughout your life. This is ultimately the difference between failure and success.
