About
I’m Cara and I quite literally ‘fell’ into this career 6 years ago, after falling in a snowboarding accident, breaking my back and neck. My only saving grace: I was in top physical condition after training to join the fire brigade. Unfortunately, that was to no longer be the case due to lasting nerve damage, so I took this an an opportunity to create a new me!
After a lot of hard work, determination, set backs, and ups and downs I was back to walking normally and hitting those workouts harder than ever. This gave me the idea and passion to pursue a career in personal training, as I realised I wanted to make other people feel as great as I do on a daily basis. I have now been a trainer for 5 years, specialising in pre and post natal.
My next development came in the form of yoga. Having practised for many years, I truly believe that this gave me that positive mindset to conquer my injuries and come out an even better person on the other side, so it was only logical that I further my knowledge to it's full potential. I now teach a variety of yoga from ashtanga to yin restorative yoga. A lot of people are wary about starting yoga, thinking they are not flexible enough, but this is not yoga! Yoga is for every single person. It’s not just physical; it is a mind and body connection that will give you energy throughout your whole system. I am fortunate enough to travel often to LA and teach workshops, and nothing fills me with more happiness than seeing the change within my students between the start of class and the end of class. Everyone leaves smiling and the room is always filled with much joy and energy, as you will see for yourselves!
